Digital Asset Management Intern
The Digital Asset Management (DAM) Intern will assist in digitizing, cataloging, and organizing Zippo’s active product assets and historical materials leading up to the company’s ninety fifth anniversary. The intern will gain practical experience with principles of archival descriptive practice and data management. This internship would benefit a graduate student in the library science or museum studies field.
The DAM Intern will assist the DAM Librarian and Administrator in conducting quality assessments of digitized assets and metadata and will support asset ingest and metadata creation.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assesses, organizes, and creates descriptive metadata for digitized assets towards the goal of
- archiving for preservation and long-term access
- Uploads assets into the DAM
- Assigns metadata, allowing users to quickly search and discover marketing assets
- Audits assets for accurate naming and metadata
- Performs related duties or special assignments as directed
EDUCATION AND ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a current student or recent graduate of a college-level program in library science,
museum studies, or a related field - Must be able to work weekdays, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
**This is an office hourly, full on-site position located in Bradford, PA**
