Job Overview
MOVA is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join the Data Team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data review, reporting, and analysis while contributing to MOVA’s mission of assisting victims and survivors of crime.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with the Data Team to support tasks related to victim service data collection, reporting and analysis
- Assist in the collection and entry of real-time data related to victim services in Massachusetts as well as reviewing, tracking, and analyzing data related to performance reporting and outcome measures
- Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to extract meaningful insights and trends from collected data, contributing to evidence-based decision making
- Support data entry projects related to state and federal data reporting requirements
- Assist in the maintenance and development of written resources and documents related to data collection and analysis, such as policies, procedures, and reports
- Maintain accurate record-keeping
- Work collaboratively within and across teams to assure efficiency and accuracy of work products
Qualifications
- Experience in data review and analysis preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Excel required, as well as demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and capacity to learn other specific software. Experience with PowerBI is a plus but not required
- Interest in the victim/survivor services field and direct services programming (e.g., social services, sexual and domestic violence services, etc.)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and overall organizational skills
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines and effectively problem solve
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to furthering MOVA’s overall mission

- This internship is for the academic year, with a flexible anticipated start date in August or September 2026 and ending in May or June 2027.
- This is a paid part-time remote position with flexible hours (10 hours per week) Monday – Friday with an anticipated pay rate of $20.00 per hour
- Candidates must be based in Massachusetts, or a neighboring state, with the ability to commute to one of MOVA’s office locations in Northampton or Boston a minimum of twice over the course of the internship
