Chemistry Co-op

About the Role:

A Chemtek is seeking a self-motivated candidate with good work ethic to join our organic chemistry lab as a chemistry intern. As an intern, you will gain valuable exposure to real-world chemistry applications, develop essential lab skills, and deepen your understanding of industry processes. This position provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth, with the potential to continue working beyond the internship.

Position Type: Full-time, In Person

Duration: August-December 2026 (Flexible)

Responsibilities:

• Document work and maintains good laboratory records in notebooks and on controlled documentation (good documentation practices).
• Assist with the writing and testing of standard operating procedures 
• Research and generate marketing reports on various chemical compounds for analysis.
• Assist with the purchasing of raw materials for lab use. 
• Perform lab tasks such as product weighting, dispensing, dissolving, mixing, and diluting under supervision
• Shipping, receiving, and inventory of chemical products.
• Various lab tasks required for day-to-day operations.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled or graduating from a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the Chemistry (or adjacent) field.
• General understanding or organic chemistry and techniques.
• Familiarity with basic analytical testing methods such as HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR etc. 
• Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs.
• Detail oriented, organized, and strong attention to detail.
• Proactive and open attitude to learn on the job.
• Ability to commute to Woburn, MA for the Co-op period. 

Compensation:

• Paid internship commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• Course credit if offered by university. 
• Travel Stipend
