Commissioning Engineer

Synergy Commissioning Inc. seeks a successful and motivated commissioning engineer. Synergy specializes in commissioning, a quality process which ensures, verifies, and documents that a completed project or existing building meets the owner’s needs and expectations. Synergy utilizes a hands-on approach to thoroughly test HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementation of technical commissioning and retro-commissioning processes and standards, review of project design documents, preparation of commissioning plans, attendance at project meetings, inspection and functional testing of installed equipment and systems, generate punch lists/ action logs and preparation of commissioning and retro-commissioning reports.

This position will require travel throughout the greater Boston area. Most work will be performed at active jobsites. The remainder of tasks will be performed remotely. Minor lifting may be required along with climbing ladders. Prolonged standing may also be required.

Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
• Building systems commissioning and retro-commissioning experience
• HVAC and controls experience
• Strong communication, project management and organizational skills.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications, particularly for MEP systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
