Civil Engineer Corps Officer

Join the Navy's Civil Engineer Corps!

Navy Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) Officers are the Navy's facilities experts in charge of engineering, management, planning, construction and maintenance of the Navy's shore infrastructure. Every year, Navy's CEC Officers manage more than $12 billion worth of design, construction, will operate and maintain complex facilities and utilities systems at shore activities while managing the efforts of a large and diverse civilian and military workforce. From the start, you will supervise construction, identify problems, devise solutions, and ultimately obtain engineering management experience, responsibility and authority far exceeding that offered in the private sector. CEC officers spend most of their career working in facilities engineering and part of their career contributing expeditionary engineering support to Naval Expeditionary operations.

You may apply for the Civil Engineer Collegiate Program while in undergraduate or even graduate school. This is not NROTC! No uniforms, drills, or military classes! Get paid while finishing school up to 24 months and graduate with a guaranteed job position. Pay can reach upwards of $3500 per month.

As a CEC Officer, you will be serving your country through your use of your engineering/architecture skills. This is your opportunity to serve, learn valuable lessons in leadership, and gain technical skills not attainable through study alone. Officer are supported in earning their Professional Engineer or Registered Architect Licenses.

Eligibility:

-U.S. Citizenship

-At least 19 and less than 42 when commissioned

-Enrolled or graduated from an ABET accredited engineering program or an NAAB accredited architecture degree

-Preferred degrees but not limited to Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Ocean Engineering and Architecture
