Software Engineering Fall Coop

Summary:

As a software engineering intern, you will be involved in the developmeing and testing on Teledyne FLIR’s Defense & Security Products.

This internship is 3-6 months over the course of the year (Teledyne FLIR is flexible regarding timing).

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

Responsibilities to be determined, but may include software development and testing productivity tool development, and software testing. Assigned tasks vary greatly from project to project but could include Robotic Behaviors, Path planning, Manipulation, Android interface development, and Driver Development.

Areas for opportunity

Robotics C++: Behaviors, Navigation, Manipulation

Application Development: Android, Qt C++, Html5/CSS/JavaScript

Software test automation

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of course work toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong interest in Robotics, and academic experience programming in C++, Java or Python.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast paced environment is required.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems including concurrent programming, operating systems, compilers and computer architecture.
  • Passion for at least one of the following applications and technologies is required:
  • Robotics C++: Manipulation, Perception, Navigation or Mapping
  • Application Development: Java, C++, Html5/CSS/JavaScript
  • Knowledge of data structures, object oriented programming.
  • Linux or Mobile application development.
