Planning Intern

Summary:

Brahmin’s Internship Program allows students an introduction to the Luxury Goods business.  Interns will have the ability to see each area of the business as well as work collaboratively within their department to apply learning to practice.  With department partnerships in Planning, Marketing and eCommerce, as well as Design and Product Development, we offer tailored opportunities for each intern to have a dynamic learning experience.  This role will be at our Corporate Headquarters in Fairhaven, MA and last 8 weeks.  Throughout these 8 weeks, each intern will be given the tools to build an internship presentation to showcase their learnings.

 

Internship Initiatives

Under the Direction of Planning, you will be able to work cross-functionally on the following initiatives:

 

  • Sales Reporting and Analysis – looking at historical data to help make profitable business decisions in our direct-to-consumer channels.
  • Inventory Management and Open to Buy – closely evaluate sales and inventory across stores and web, project business based on findings.
  • Web Tile Management – monitor and analyze web tiles by season as it compares to last year and report how the differences effect sales volume.
  • Weekly Allocations to Retail and Outlet stores – dive into store selling to understand what goods need to be replenished, allocate new product based on category and body selling analysis, ensure goods are flowing to stores based on capacities and ever flexing business needs.
  • Hindsight Reporting at a seasonal level – evaluate selling by body, category, color family, price tier to guide future business decisions based on past success and missed opportunities.

 

 Minimal requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or continued education
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail, very task-oriented, and a self-starter
  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Preferred cumulative GPA 3.0
