IT & Workplace Experience Internship

This IT & Workplace Experience Internship will be a Full or Part time internship focused on resolving a variety of issues quickly and efficiently. We are flexible for the internship to be anywhere between 3-6 months. You must be able to come onsite three times per week and adhoc fourth days as required for office events, tasks or new hire onboarding. Your mission is to help support our Withings IT team, HR and Workplace experience team remove any and all problems that prevent our US employees from being the most successful that they are able to be. 


 

Your role will be focused on a variety of issues within the space of internal technical troubleshooting, IT training and general office management support. We are looking for an individual who is a great multi-tasker, self-motivator, team player and has great communication skills.

Your Main Tasks

  • Supports workplace experience manager in maintaining overall condition of the office, arranging necessary repairs, cleaning out storage, ordering supplies and snacks, working with vendors, logistics and mailings.
  • Support the Workplace Experience manager with in-house or off-site activities such as company events and team-building experiences

 

  • Manage US IT equipment inventory including but not limited to: ordering, preparing, and inventorying employee PCs, decommissioning laptops, equipment recycling 


 

  • Manage and respond to employee IT support requests (Assisting with topics such as VPN, LDAP and wifi set up, software installation, password issues/resets, or other unique technical problems that may arise) 


 

  • Own IT processes when it comes to offboarding and onboarding 


 

  • Improve and build out IT documentation and procedures and perform IT check-ins with each of our employees. 


 

  • Ensure good security practices: conduct security reviews, educate about best password practices, machine locking, hardware security keys, etc.


 

  • Assist the platform development team as-needed from our server room


 

  • Communicate with various partners to arrange repairs or maintenance on behalf of the office: TVs, Laptops, etc


 

Requirements

  • In the process of completing a computer science degree or similar 


 

  • Comfortable with both Windows and Mac machines, including technical aspects such as OS configuration, USB boot, registry editing, and basic command line functionality 


 

  • Excited to solve unique and varied technical problems- A tinkerer’s mindset


 

  • Autonomous and “figure it out” attitude. Self-motivated and driven.


 

  • Cross Team and stakeholder management: Be able to connect well with all the various levels of technical people we have in the office. You will have to be proactive, kind and patient in your communication style. 


 

  • Genuinely enjoy customer service. Keep a positive and solution oriented attitude

  • Microsoft Admin Dashboard
  • Adobe Admin Dashboard
  • Google Admin Dashboard
  • Gmail/Google Calendar
  • Zebra (label printing)
  • LDAP/Inventory
  • Google Docs/Sites
  • VPN 
  • USB drives for commonly used files such as all the programs we install on computers, password policy, etc
  • The internet for troubleshooting purposes
