Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Duration: This is a 20-week internship
  • Technical Support: Act as an initial point of contact for end-users experiencing IT hardware or software issues, offering supportive and efficient solutions under the mentorship of our IT and Security Manager.
  • Troubleshooting: Utilize your problem-solving skills under guidance to identify and resolve IT and AV challenges, minimizing disruptions and learning best practices along the way.
  • Network Administration: Under the supervision of our IT and Security Manager, assist with the maintenance and configuration of our network infrastructure, gaining hands-on experience in a fundamental area of our operations.
  • System Maintenance: Support critical system updates, patches, and backups alongside seasoned professionals, contributing to data safety and optimal system performance.
  • Documentation: Help create and maintain clear documentation of IT processes, procedures, and configurations, enhancing team efficiency and serving as a learning tool for future reference.
  • User Training: Assist in conducting basic training sessions for end-users on IT tools and best practices, promoting a tech-savvy organizational culture.
  • Collaboration: Engage with the IT team on various projects and initiatives, contributing your unique insights and benefiting from collaborative problem-solving and innovation.
  • Research: Keep abreast of the latest IT trends and technologies, contributing to the team’s continuous improvement efforts.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Currently enrolled in, recently graduated from, or interested in attending a degree program related to Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field. This inclusive criterion welcomes candidates at different stages of their educational or career journey.
  • A foundational understanding of IT and AV concepts, eager to expand your knowledge further.
  • Innate problem-solving capabilities coupled with a keen desire to learn and adapt.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with key technologies, including operating systems (Windows, OSX, Linux), Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe products.
  • A self-starter who thrives in both team and independent settings.
