Supply Chain Intern / Coop

Primary Purpose of this Job

The Supply Chain intern will be responsible for assisting supply chain team in meeting both departmental and corporate objectives. This individual will have the opportunity to become an instrumental part of the daily supply chain activities, including reporting, analytics, purchase order creation and maintenance, pricing negotiations, and supplier management.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist/Support Purchasing department on a daily basis. 
  • Participate in weekly supply planning meetings. 
  • Assist with supplier communications on daily topics. 
  • Generate process and procedure documents for critical supply chain functions. 
  • Assist the Supply Chain team with reporting of departmental objectives. 
  • Interface with the suppliers on delivery and pricing targets. 
  • Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis. 
  • Assist business planning team with various forecasting and analysis as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate business student with/or pursuing major in Supply Chain Management or related Business degree.  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Skilled in:

  • Solid analytical skills and self-motivated. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization. 
  • Willingness to work in a team environment. 
  • Handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks. 
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
  • Communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
  • Adapt to changing work environment, competing demands, able to deal with frequent change, delays, and unexpected events
  • Communicate and work with all levels of staff in various departments

  • Walk; sit; stand; bend; lift; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; use hands to fingers; handle or feel objects; and move continually during working hours
  • Lift over 50 pounds, along with over the head lifting
  • Vision abilities, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
