Outreach Coordinator Intern

Community Outreach INTERN - Food 4 Kids partners with community-based summer programs from Harwich to Provincetown, to serve free meals and books to children during the summer months. The Community Outreach Intern will work before our season kicks off to raise awareness about the program across the area, putting up signage, posters, and talking with other local nonprofits serving the community.  This role represents the brand of Food 4 Kids through interaction with leaders at community organizations, the kids + teens receiving meals, volunteers, and the public.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

JUNE - 20 hours TOTAL, FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE

• Distribute fliers, posters and signage from 
• Engage community organizations to spread the word about our sites (libraries, food pantries, subsidized housing, etc.) 

JULY & AUGUST - 3 to 5 hours per WEEK, FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE 

• Create weekly content for Social Media posts.
• Visit sites to gather photos, stories, and quotes.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Possess transportation, valid driver's license and insurance
• Pass a state mandated background check - CORI
• Commit to Code of Safe Conduct for the Protection of Children and Youth

• Easily builds relationships
• Excellent communication skills - written and oral
• Effective teaming
